Why We Follow Railway Journeys

For travellers who choose the slow way on purpose

Roverquvelio is an independent editorial project about scenic railway journeys. We write for people who would rather watch a valley open up than shave an hour off a trip — and who still need to know whether a reservation is compulsory, whether the sleeper divides in the night, and what happens when the sea wall closes.

Our guides follow a simple pattern: first, how the journey unfolds through the window or overnight; then, the practical differences between mountain, coastal, sleeper and heritage services. We keep the two apart so the romance never hides the constraints.

How we research

We use operator timetables, published infrastructure facts, museum collections and travellers' reports, and we revisit pages when services change.

What we don't do

We do not sell tickets, accept payment for coverage or represent any railway. Operators' own conditions always override our notes.
